Class License
Licensing is a per-deployment fact, not a per-workbook one: a single
license state is shared by every Workbook in the JVM. Install a token
with Workbook.setLicense(byte[]) and inspect the state with
Workbook.licenseStatus() or the helpers here.
Enforcement depends on the build. Distributed native libraries
enforce unconditionally; development builds only when the
AXYRA_LICENSE_ENFORCE=1 environment variable or the
axyra.license.enforce=1 system property is set. An unlicensed engine
still produces complete output — evaluation mode watermarks it and applies
per-execution limits; it never drops data.
When a key is put in force the engine prints the key's customer console message to standard error once per process, and, from 30 days before the key's end, a once-per-process expiry warning.
